I would not recommend this product. In receiving the shoes the white stripes were a pale yellow making the shoes look cheap and old. I know this is not how the shoes were suppose to look and was very disappointed!

Customer Review: WOW, Jeans That Really Fit
I ordered a long rise, size 6 and the fit is perfect. I have a long waist and long rise and these jeans hit just under my natural waist. I usually wear an 8 and from other reviews ordered a 6. The 8 would have been too big. I’m not wild about the faded rinse on the thighs, but the jeans fit so well I’ll wear them. I plan to order them in other shades. I am imprssed in that I usually have to spend $100+ to ge this weight and there is just enough lycra for real comfort.

Customer Review: Rugged and perfect for daily use
I ride a bike to work and take a change of clothes with me. While I have a pannier that attaches to my bike, it is too small to pack a change of clothes, lunch, shoes, et cetera. This bag is perfect for my purposes. It has lots of great, large, easy-access pockets for things you need to reach for (iPod, keys, et cetera) and a great space for magazines, clothes, whatever. I am enjoying it a lot and find it to be well crafted.

It is a great bag. Love the outside zipper, two front pockets inside flap along with several compartments inside plus an inside zippered pocket. It is very roomy and expands even more if you unzip. I bought the “park green” color and also bought the “park green” brownie wallet. Totally love both items. I was looking for a non-leather bags, and after a long search, Kipling is by far the best. Unfortunately, the color “park green” is being discontinued.

Customer Review: Perfect jeans, pictured poorly.
Levi & Co. would behoove itself to photograph the 550 bootcut jeans in a less matronly way. Someone surfing alone online or via catalog would completely skip over great jeans based on truly awful pictures and poor descriptions. I’m an 8 medium, slender, fit and have no issues in terms of body structure (I’m not reviewing my hair, you’ll notice). My issue is the mass of really crappy jeans on the market. Levi’s 550 bootcut are an exception.

I have these jeans in the Indigo Bleached shade. Think “Favorite jeans worn regularly for 2 months”…that’s the shade. Broken in, worn lovingly, put away smelling like clean clothes.

Levi describes the rise as “at waist” which just isn’t so. They hit me about 3 inches south of the belly button and well above the jungle. A happy medium (mid-rise) with no gap along the back waistband. Rear pocket placement is butt-friendly.

The bootcut leg isn’t overwhelming, just enough flare to add a nice balance. Note: 550 also comes in “tapered”. Do yourself and your self esteem a favor and do not try on the tapered fit. Tapered fit jean designers should be forced from their bed, at dawn, made to wear Lee brand relaxed fit jeans with yoke pockets, purchased at the tractor supply store.

If you have memories of borrowing a boyfriend’s 501’s (back when his waist was slimmer) and loving that slightly slouchy fit, give 550 bootcut a spin. -Laurel825

These jeans fit me perfectly. The slight stretch allows me to wear them comfortably while riding my bicycle to the university. Then I look great all day. I like the way they ride just a little low off my waist. Then I can get a good fit through my hips and thighs and not have them pinch me in my waist.

I bought two pair about 4 years ago at a Walmart and loved them. They are very fashionable, people tell me I look like I have lost weight and that I look great. I agree with the other review, the mid-rise is a great fit. I have low-rise jeans and I’m constantly pulling them up because there is no waistband that makes them narrower. (and I do have hips) I have been looking for more Jeanstar Elle jeans but couldn’t find them anywhere until now. I ordered 4 pair, one in each color, but (**WARNING**) they run large. I was wearing a size 12 because I checked the tag inside but the size 12 now is too big. I’m going to downsize and order a size 10. They are a great price too, saves money compared to those expensive name brands.

I just spent yesterday in my new jeans Christmas shopping and I can’t believe how comfortable they are. There is ample room for my behind, and yet the hips are narrow enough to be a great fit. The length is perfect and most important there is enough room for my female anatomy without being absolutely scrunched in. I purchased 16 short and I can’t believe I finally after several years have actually found a pair of pants that I can look for and purchase again. Awesome!!! Oh yes and I almost forgot the fact that they are up high enough to accomodate my waist,(almost). That would be my only request is that they could use a little bit higher waist, as opposed to 99.9% of the jeans out there today where the waistband is just above the pubic bone. Gross. Keep up the good work! Let me make a commercial for you!!!

Lee makes a great pair of somewhat loose fitting, easy on the waist double pleated pants for gentlemen who want a slightly more relaxed look; and these pants are also a good choice for people like me who are slightly overweight. The elasticized waistband just plain gives you extra room; and that’s great!

People sometimes say that overweight gentlemen shouldn’t wear pants with pleats. Consequently, at first I wasn’t sure about the double pleated aspect of these pants; but then I realized that when I sit down and have a wallet in my pocket, these pants can use the extra fabric from the pleated area to “stretch” and “cover up” my being somewhat overweight. Then the pants still appear to fit very nicely–which they do!

The cotton is anything but cheap; and these pants are extremely durable. They last for years if you take good care of them. They are certainly permanent press since they say they don’t wrinkle easily; and you might want to avoid taking these to the cleaners. However, I suppose that you could take these to the cleaners to be cleaned anyway. I know they say that these won’t wrinkle, but if you wash these in your washer and dryer take them out right away after the drying cycle is finished to avoid any wrinkling at all. You may even want to wash them with similar colors so that no color dye from other garments gets on these pants during the wash and dry cycles.

The elastic waist in hidden; but wear your shirt tucked in so that you don’t feel the elasticized waist rubbing up against your skin while wearing these pants. They are indeed stain resistant–hooray!

Overall, these fine pants by Lee easily rival any made by other manufacturers. Make sure you choose the right size and color for you if you’re using the charts above on this webpage. If you want a pair of comfortable, good looking pants with pleats, this may be just what you’re looking for–if you choose to buy these I doubt that you’ll be disappointed.
Customer Review: Great pants with flawed pockets
I cannot really add much to what most other people have said about the pants in general - they are very comfortable. I rated them at a three, however, because of the inconvenience of the problem with the front pockets - this is my greatest complaint. The bottoms of the front pockets taper down and get quite a bit smaller. I keep my wallet in my front pocket and it gets stuck in the bottom of the pocket. I have to use two hands to get it out. That is a MAJOR annoyance factor. Want to keep two things in your front pocket? Good luck if they are bigger than a cassette tape. The pockets need to be as wide at the bottom as they are at the top.
